Golf Cart won’t shut down!

Took my golf cart to the campground and it would not turn off!

What possible reason why would a golf cart not stop running when letting off the gas pedal and turning off the key.  It sounded like the engine continued to run no matter what I did.  I turned off the key. Still running. I removed the key, still running. Looked in the engine compartment and remove spark plug connection and it continued to run! WOOT! How can this be?

No baloney! Your solenoid is defective. This video shows a brand new solenoid only after a few hours of flawless run time.  Suddenly and without warning, it sounded like the engine was idling as I turned off the golf cart while camping.
